We have some exciting news on the personal business front. Josh always takes beautiful scenery shots on our various trips, and so far, those photos just sit on a hard drive eventually forgotten. Not anymore! My dad owns his own tax business in southern California and together we’ve worked together to create a gallery of Josh’s photographs that are available for sale. It’s so wonderful to hear all the comments and it’s great to see them off the hard drive and on the wall.
If you’re interested in a framed print, please visit the office to get a first-hand look at the photos and you can purchase one there. If you’re not in southern CA and you’re interested, we sell the prints on Josh’s website here. Each photograph from the website will be signed by Josh before it is shipped.

Back to Telluride
Guess what? Remember when we went to Telluride for our anniversary here? Well, we loved it so much, we couldn’t imagine how beautiful it’d be in the fall when the leaves change. So, last weekend, we went back. We stayed at the Peaks Resort in Mountain Village this time…and…Denver got to come! I know, it sounds absurb. He was amazing though, he’s quite the cultured pup now.
Anyways, unfortunately, due to the exceptionally dry summer Colorado had, the weekend (which normally is the perfect weekend) we had had booked for nearly 6 months ended up being a week too late. About 90% of the fall color had already fallen off the trees and blown away. However, as always, Josh took it upon himself to find the 3 spots left in Colorado where there were enough trees, so we got some wonderful pictures. And Denver? He’s just a natural male model.
The first few are iphone shots…
And here he is in all his modeling glory…
After all that modeling, Denver was hungry…so he made us go through Freddy’s drive-thru.
As part family vacation, part 60th anniversary, my family spent a few days with us! We spent part of the time up in Estes Park at Mary’s Lake Lodge, some of it in Wyoming celebrating my grandparents 60th anniversary (more on that here), and some of it back in Colorado Springs at our home. One of their surprises was bringing our family golden retriever, Buster, along with them on the 16 hour drive so he could meet our little Denver! They had a blast, and will forever be best friends. We all had a wonderful time, and as always, it was too short!
We saw this guy right at the entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park!
Everyone but mom, all eating at the Wapiti in Estes Park.
One night in Wyoming, Josh let us have some camera fun.
This is ‘skeet golf’. Dad is hitting a golf ball, which Chad is trying to hit w/ the gun.
One of uncle Carl’s toys being shot by Chad…
then Ben.
I feel it is noteworthy to mention…perhaps only to make me feel better…that I came home from this weekend in Wyoming with 60…six zero…fly bites. Monday and Tuesday were close to awful.
Josh and I went fly fishing! We bought a groupon type deal that would take us from the very basics to getting us out in the river in one afternoon. It was a ton of fun, and I even caught a fish on my 5th cast! Here are a few pictures we got from the day.
